  • They are extremely well made and will last a long time before needing replaced.
  • They have a rubber thumb pad which is a nice touch.
  • They come in a variety of colours so you'll be sure to find one you like.
  • An extremely well fitting glove to the extent that you barely notice you are wearing it.
  • I know my carelessness isn't the fault of Mezz but it was sad anyway 😔😭.
  • Unfortunately I accidentally left mine in the pool hall one evening and never seen it again.
  • Mezz products are a specialist order so aren't readily available and take longer to arrive than most other brands (in my country they do anyway!).
  • It is only available in black, grey, navy blue or burgundy so that may be unappealing to those who prefer brighter colours (not really an issue for me but I know there are players who care about that sort of thing).
  • The glove is ambidextrous so can be worn by either a right or left handed player.
  • It has a smooth feel to it and is more comfortable and better fitting than the similarly priced Kamui glove imo.
  • Imo there are more durable and better feeling gloves available at a comparable price.
  • Do not allow the velcro strap to accidentally come in contact with the mesh whatever you do! 😬.
  • The mesh material on these gloves seems thinner than on other brands so extra care must be taken when removing it as they rip very easily.
  • I personally didn't like the feel of thick stitching between the thumb and index finger and found this to be slightly distracting.
  • Kamui is a well respected manufacturer across the billiards industry and their products are used by numerous professionals in both the pool and snooker world.
  • They are pretty much always in stock and available from any reputable online retailer or walk in pool equipment store.
  • They come in a variety of sizes so you are sure to find one which will fit your hand.
  • You are most definitely aware that you are wearing a glove on your hand!.
  • They do not fit as well or have the same quality feel of a premium brand.
  • If you happen to lose or damage it who cares 🤷‍♂️.
  • Ideal for those on a tight budget or those who are starting to take their game more seriously but do not want to purchase a more expensive brand until they've played with a glove for a while.
  • They only cost like $10 for a pack of 6.
  • l'll do my best to list the pros and cons of each particular glove (imo). The 5 that I've tried are: Predator, Molinari, Mezz, Kamui, and a cheap unnamed Chinese brand. I know this post is from a year ago but as I've tried 5 different brands I thought I'd add my two cents worth to the conversation. Not going to save as much as you think going the cheap route. Maybe worth it if you just have no size compatibility on any brand name glove but you’re still going to blow through a lot of them. The no-names are a different thing entirely.

They’re all functional, we’re talking mostly about whether you go through 2-4 gloves per year or 6-8 per year if you get the brands above. I know people who blow through Predators because their hand is too big for the smaller size but too loose in the larger. Overall, I think it’s important to try a few gloves because they all fit slightly differently. Unfortunately I can’t give an in-depth review. Molinari seems like a good glove but only have 1 lefty size which is too big for me. Kamui is my second choice behind Predator but the construction around the wrist isn’t as high quality. If it weren’t for the rubber strap on the felt, I’d like it a lot more. Cuetec fits tighter than Kamui for my size. Velcro straps can drag across the felt which can be annoying but it’s especially bad on the new Cuetec since it has a rubber logo on it. Kamui, Molinari, and the new Cuetec are almost exactly the same glove IMO. At a comparable price point to the other major brands, it seems like the best option. In my experience, the seams are a bit stronger on the Predator than others. Like almost any other glove I’ve tried, the main concerns are stretching out over time (unavoidable) and ripping along the wrist area.

Also, the velcro strap connects above the hand/wrist so it doesn’t touch the table while bridging. There don’t feel to be any seems in the fingers that are felt during bridging (closed or open). I prefer it to the major alternatives because it fits my personal hand size tighter (I’m a “smedium”).
